The Cocoon Collective™

Community Guidelines

Effective Date: July 2026 · Last Updated: July 2026

We built The Cocoon Collective on a belief: that a well-designed community — one where the rules make sense, the consequences are fair, and the culture is genuinely good — produces better behavior than surveillance and punishment ever could.

These guidelines are not a list of things we don’t want. They are a description of the community we are building together. Every player, every parent, and every person on our team is part of that.

🚫 Zero Tolerance Rules

Immediate removal. No warnings. No appeals.

The following behaviors result in permanent removal from the Platform. These are not judgment calls — they are lines we will not negotiate across, regardless of circumstances, history, or explanation. Parents will be notified, and repeat offenses from new accounts will be referred to appropriate authorities where required.

🚨 Predatory behavior toward any child

Any attempt to contact, befriend, or communicate with a child in a manner that is romantic, sexual, or designed to establish a relationship outside the Platform. Any such incident will be reported to relevant authorities.

🚨 Sexual content of any kind

Creating, sharing, requesting, or discussing sexual content in any form within the Platform.

🚨 Hate speech and targeted harassment

Language or behavior that targets a person based on their race, ethnicity, religion, national origin, gender, disability, or any protected characteristic.

🚨 Sharing personal information about another player

Disclosing, guessing at, or attempting to discover another player’s real name, school, address, phone number, or any other identifying information.

🚨 Attempting to contact players outside the Platform

Soliciting or sharing external contact information — social media handles, phone numbers, email addresses, gaming platform IDs outside our system.

🚨 Bypassing or attacking Platform safety systems

Any attempt to exploit, hack, or disable the Platform’s safety architecture — including the parent cipher system, moderation tools, or player identity protections.

🚨 Threats of real-world harm

Any statement — even if presented as a joke — that implies physical harm, threats toward a player’s family, or encouragement of self-harm. We take every such statement seriously.

How We Treat Each Other

These rules apply to every player, every session, every interaction. The standard is: would you say this in front of a six-year-old and a room full of their parents? If not, don’t say it here.

  • 🗣️ Speak kindly or not at all — Name-calling, put-downs, and deliberately hurtful comments have no place here.
  • 🤐 No profanity or adult language — The youngest players on this Platform are six years old. Language must be appropriate for all players at all times.
  • 🐾 No harm to animals — ever — This is built into the Platform’s architecture, not just a rule. Harming animals is not a game mechanic here.
  • 🏗️ No griefing or destruction of others’ work — Other players’ islands, builds, and creations represent real effort and real pride.
  • ⚔️ No player-versus-player combat — The path forward is craft, trade, and cooperation — not combat.
  • 🎭 No impersonation — Do not pretend to be another player, a moderator, or a member of our team.
  • 💰 No scamming or economy manipulation — The CoCoin economy depends on trust. Trade fairly or don’t trade.
  • 🔇 No spamming or disruption — Flooding chat or using any game mechanic to interfere with others’ gameplay is not welcome.

Personal Information & Privacy

  • 🔒 Never share your real name, school, or location — Your game username is your identity here.
  • 🔒 Never share contact information — Phone numbers, email addresses, social media handles — none of this belongs in the Platform.
  • 🔒 Never ask for another player’s personal information — Asking for real names, schools, or contact information is a violation.
  • 🔑 Never share your account credentials or cipher — We will never ask for your password.

Consequences

We believe in proportional, restorative responses — addressing what happened, why, and how to make it right. But proportionality has limits.
